A Feast for the Youngest: Bib for Kids by RBA Is Celebrating Its 10th Birthday

Like every year, Zagreb Film Festival is preparing a number of cinematic treats for the youngest cinephiles, and this year’s Bib for Kids by RBA will be even merrier and more fun than before, as this popular ZFF section is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The birthday party at Europa is scheduled for Saturday, 19 November, and the young visitors will have a chance to see the Swedish-Dutch film Siv Sleeps Astray, eat some birthday cake and take home surprise party favours.

Siv Sleeps Astray, directed by Catti Edfeldt and Lena Hanno Clyne, is a cinematic fairy tale inspired by the children’s book by Pia Lindenbaum. The protagonist, seven-year-old Siv, is excited to sleep over for the first time at her nice new friend Cerisia. But this night will become even more magical than the girls expected, and two chatty badgers will contribute to the magic of the situation.

Bib for Kids by RBA is bringing seven feature and four short films for children to Europa Cinema’s silver screen. The focus of this year’s line-up is on films from Benelux, with one local co-production – the Dutch-Belgian-Croatian title The Day My Father Became a Bush by Nicole van Kilsdonk, starring Croatian actors Jan Kerekeš, Hrvojka Begović and Damir Poljičak.

Programs for children and youth, Bib for Kids and PLUS, run at Europa Cinema. Bib for Kids screenings are free of charge, and tickets are available at Zagreb Film Festival’s box office. Tickets for other ZFF programs will be available for pre-sale online from 27 October at the festival box office before the beginning of the festival.
