Traditional Muslim bath – hammam – is open to women of all ages, social statuses, and ideologies, from mothers and wives, mistresses and virgins, to liberals and radical Islamists. It’s just another workday in hammam for Fatima; far from the gaze of men, a colourful group of women is gathered once again. When an unexpected visitor comes to the door, Fatima’s daily routine is seriously disturbed.
