Early 1990s. The AIDS epidemic has been spreading for years, taking numerous lives. A group of young Paris activists is trying hard to raise awareness of this stigmatized illness and shake up the indifferent society and pharmaceutical companies. The group is joined by Nathan, a young man not infected by HIV, unlike most of the other members. There he meets radical and passionate Sean, and the pair strike up a relationship, while the group is debating the method of shock and violence as a means in their fight. The personal and political intertwine in this emotional erotic drama, which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. It is the French entry for this year’s Academy Awards.
