Football is Charlie’s great passion. There’s a bright future ahead of him thanks to his impressive talent. His father Paul sees him as an opportunity to vicariously realize his own failed dreams and is very supportive in directing Charlie towards a professional football career. However, the boy carries a big secret, the burden of which has become unbearable. He is in fact a girl trapped in a boy’s body. Her decision to disclose it and take control over her life will bring chaos into the seemingly harmonious family and estrange her from her father and friends. This heartfelt humorous drama about prejudice and acceptance, has won the hearts of festival audiences. It won the Audience Award at the Edinburgh IFF and the Best Feature Film for Youth at the Zlín IFF.
