Italian Daniela and Moroccan Fouad lead a difficult life struggling with alcoholism. They meet by chance and develop a strong bond. After two years of living together, Fouad proposes to Daniela in order to get health insurance. Daniela accepts but soon starts to question the ambiguity of his feelings.
