A thrilling drama about wrong decisions and a woman searching for her place in a world tailor-made for men. Mara is hopelessly in love with Rok, an unscrupulous businessman and father of her illegitimate child. When he is charged with corporate crime, Rok is abandoned by all his friends, and he urges Mara to abscond with him and leave the child behind. Ivan won a number of awards at the Festival of Slovenian Film, including Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Leading Actress. Janez Burger’s short film On the Sunny Side of the Alps was screened at the 5^th ZFF. Together with Jan Cvitkovič, he is the founder of the production company Staragara, which produced his award-winning film Gravehopping, also screened at ZFF.
